NOTE: Dispatching any of the Navigators will forbid you from having them help you in the stage. Alia, Layer, and Palette play as female counterparts of X, Zero, and Axl respectively, although Alia cannot use X's armor parts and Palette cannot transform into enemies. To unlock the other two Navigators' weapon, clear any four stages (can be done with previously cleared stages) with the Navigator you are trying to unlock.

If you completed the game on Normal or Hard and load the clear game file, the weapon for Navigator you used the most in your previous round becomes available in the R&D Lab. In Trioa Base, get 8 S-ranks and you will be able to face Cutman before the boss roomĪlong with unlocking X's, Zero's, Axl's secret armor, the Navigators - Alia, Layer, Palette - can be unlocked as playable characters.

When Zero or Layer use it, press and hold Up, then also hold Down. This glitch requires the use of a controller which allows the pressing of the D-Pad Up and Down simultaneously. It's not powerful at all, but a fun easter egg.Įquip the K Knuckle on Zero and jump up and press Triangle. This move appeared in Megaman X2 as an ultimate move (like the Hadoken in Megaman X1). You can do a shoryuken with X (in his ultimate armor). Now press start to pause and bring up the player menu screen, your counter will read 9999999, the maximum number of metals possible in the game! go to any level and go find a single metal anywhere on the level, the metal counter will increase insanely. Go to the the R&D development room and get a life charge for the life tank which costs 50 metals to obtain, the game will glitch out and your metal counter will disappear from screen. Second you need to have less than 50 metals. First you need to have a life tank and make sure its not completely full, recommended half full. 
This glitch is intended to give you the max number of metals in the game in just one pause during gameplay. The Sigma-Blade will now be available for purchase in the R&D Lab. Simply complete the game and then load your clear file. If you have a Megaman X: Command Mission save on the same memory card that you are saving on in X8, you can battle Cutman at the end of Optic Sunflower's stage.
